Olde Cape Cod Ballpark Cracker Mix

To celebrate the start of baseball season, we crafted this great nostalgic mix that will bring you right back to searching for the prize at the bottom of the box of caramel corn and peanuts. Oyster crackers paired with toffee-covered peanuts are a great start, but then you cover it all with butter and maple syrup! Home run!

Ingredients:

1/2 cup toffee peanuts or get creative!
1/3 cup maple syrup
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 box of Olde Cape Cod Oyster Crackers

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 250°. In a large bowl, combine the oyster crackers and peanuts. (We used Planter’s Sweet & Crunchy Peanuts, but any kind of nut would work!)

In a microwave-safe dish, combine the butter and maple syrup. Microwave on high 45 seconds or until butter is melted. Stir in the vanilla. Pour over the cracker mixture and mix up to even distribute over the crackers.

Transfer to a parchment paper covered baking pan. Bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes to make sure that the mix isn’t sticking together. Remove from the oven and let cool. The mix will store in an air-tight container for 1 week…but it won’t last that long!
