Christmas Crack

Christmas Crack

Christmas Crack is one of those recipes that becomes an instant holiday tradition the first time you make it. A layer of caramelized brown sugar and butter gets poured over Westminster Crackers, then topped with melted chocolate for an irresistible combination of sweet, salty, and crunchy in every bite. It's incredibly simple to make, requires just a handful of ingredients, and looks beautiful on a holiday dessert platter. Package it up in festive tins for homemade gifts or set it out at your next holiday gathering — it disappears fast either way.
Ingredients
Westminster Crackers (Hearty Squares or Mini Saltines)
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup butter
1 1/2–2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange crackers in a single layer.
In a saucepan, melt and combine brown sugar and butter over medium heat.
Pour mixture evenly over the crackers.
Bake for 5 minutes, until bubbly.
Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the top.
Let sit for a few minutes until melted, then spread into an even layer.
Chill until set, then break into pieces and serve.
